Webinar:- Peering into the Unknown- New Insights from the James Webb Space Telescope

Do galaxies in the universe look anything like present-day systems? How do stars form in distant massive galaxies? What do the exoplanets – faraway worlds circling other stars – look like and how fast is the universe expanding?

The James Webb Space Telescope(JWST), consisting of 18 hexagonal mirrors, a sun shield, and equipped with high-resolution and high-sensitivity instruments, is the largest optical telescope in space. It orbits more than a million miles away from Earth, much farther away than the Hubble Space Telescope. It was launched December, 2022 and will reach a new phase in the series of complex maneuvers over the next six months. As a result, humanity will be able to peer deeper into space and time than we have ever experienced before.
