Chasing the Moon
Yet again, it was the Cold War that gave NASA’s mission new life. Amidst concerns that the Soviets might exploit the hiatus to overtake the Americans, NASA pushed forward. NASA conducted an unmanned test of a new Saturn V moon rocket, testing multiple systems and rocket stages at once in November of 1967 . Miraculously, all systems succeeded.
