Seminar:- Recent Developments in Black Hole Perturbation Theory
The speaker will discuss some recent work on black hole perturbation theory, regarding the tidal deformation of black holes, and quasinormal modes during ring-down. He will emphasize the role of symmetries, and present some developments beyond linear perturbation theory. A gentle introduction will be given.
