Seminar:- Chile, the World Capital of Astronomy
A brief description of Chile and its advantages related to astronomy are introduced in the first part, altogether with a non-exhaustive list of astronomical projects in Chile. Also, an update on the current status of the Leighton Chajnantor Telescope is presented. The second part introduces the Astro-engineering group at the Universidad Austral de Chile, its ongoing projects and describes its collaboration with Chinese University of Hong Kong(CUHK) and other institutions.
