Colloquium:- The speaker will describe their recent work re-analyzing the Gravitational Wave(GW) data made public by the Laser Interferometer Gravitational-Wave Observatory(LIGO) collaboration. More broadly he will discuss some of the outstanding questions related to binary black hole mergers, what the data might be saying and what he and his team might expect in the near future. He will focus on what can be inferred from the spin measurements.
