COLLOQUIUM:- Dark Matter: the Good, the Bad and the Ugly
Multiple strong evidence has pointed to the existence of a new kind of matter that is not described by the Standard Model of particle physics. With a few times more abundance than normal matter and the only known interaction being gravity, this so-far invisible substance is aptly named Dark Matter. The speaker will discuss the current status of dark matter identification, some tantalizing hints that have gathered significant excitements, and potential future directions of this field.
