The Shaw Prize Lecture on Astromony 2016 - Einstein's Gift to Us: Gravitational Wave Astronomy
The recent discovery and measurements of gravitational waves, as first proposed by Albert Einstein 100 years ago, is not only a fundamental confirmation of the General Theory of Relativity but also opens up the exciting, new field of gravitational wave astronomy. Gravitational waves are ripples in the shape of space-time generated by accelerating masses in the universe.
