白色發光二極管的不利影響

Seminar:- The Adverse Effects of White Light Emitting Diodes

The spread of artificial light at night (ALAN) in the environment is now known to have significant effects on fauna, flora and human health. These effects depend on the radiance and the spectral distribution of the light in relation to the spectral sensitivity of the relevant biological processes. The impact of ALAN is also strongly linked to various physical processes involved in the radiative transfer in the atmosphere without forgetting the interactions with the built and natural environment. This presentation focuses on direct illumination (light trespass) and the light scattered by the atmosphere under clear and overcast sky. Different processes of interaction between anthropogenic sources of light and the environment are briefly discussed on the basis of a sensitivity analysis with Illumina radiative transfer model and based on three indices of spectral impact. We will explore the relative importance of different mitigation solutions and show what would be the expected impact of street lighting conversion plan to the white LED which was announced by the city of Montreal.
